problem that he is having is that the car is running rough.

compression test revealed not so positive results in the range of 5-170.

decide to pull the heads first...



then the block to re-ring


once we started breaking the motor down we notice something else.
the cam bearings are not supposed to be sticking out from the inside.

some more pictures

we have the 331 but the customer wants to make it look stock so this is the look that we going after.


331 stroker aluminum heads all painted engine gloos black









customer came in do some painting for us

all the blue marks were wher we had to modify the pan due to casting flaws











roller block pivot for the z-bar

331 install complete except for some adjustments to the carb, install the monte carlo bar and adjust the new clutch

we might need to go to the 14" air cleaner since the 15" is so tight to the monte carlo bar

Thats what my cam bearings looked like..  sticking out of the journals everywhere..  = no oil pressure once it was warm
