hey whats up, my name is josh oldham.  i am currently a college student (almost done) and have my automotive technologies degree almost finished along with my associates degree.  i have had my 1967 coupe for about 7 years now.  when i bought it, it was completly stock.  since then i have pulled the old motor/tran/suspension/rearend/interior/wheels/hood.  it now has a custom 342 forged bottom end with z304 heads and a victor jr. intake.  my cam currently is a comp cams extreme energy with I/E @ .579 lift (i cant remember the duration).  holley black electric fuel pump.  i was going to run FPA headers on it but i test fitted them and they didn't work.  so now looks like im going to have to fab my own...o well.  the tranny is was built by redneck out of texas.  it is a manual reverse valve body, with a trans brake (which i have ran in series with my MSD launch controler).  i have a 9in. ford slightly narrowed up so it will tuck the 275/60/15 M/T drag radials i run.  the front suspension was a grab-a-trak set-up but i recently have the car taken apart for the Aeroform QA1 coil-over with tubular A-arms and their rack n pinion too.  not for sure what the car will dyno at (i suspect around the 380 range)...but 2 years ago (on an old dual plane intake manifold, small 670 vacuum secondary carb. and cheap headers) i ran 12.2 @ 108 with a 1.5 60ft.  i suspect it will run much faster now.

future plans for it are to megasquirt it this winter (since gary hart is my neighbor, go google his name Wink )and a single gt47-88  Grin

i have built other cars such as my old 1986 SVO mustang which dyno'd at 342 hp and 321 ft. tq. (thats alot for the 4-cyl. club) on 18 lbs. of boost and pump gas.  i sold in january of this year (too good of offer to pass up).

i currently DD a 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege (which is a blast around corners).

anyways ill stop rambling now

later

Coupe looks really nice, sounds like its time for a cage! Are you pulling those 60's with under ride Shelby bars or are they caltracs... please tell me those are caltracs.

Well I goggled Gary Hart and he is either a 1988 presidential candidate that was a womanizer or a pro wrestler or a Bonneville salt flats driver with the Turbo Stud. I'm guessing the Driver! Grin

sorry for the late response.  i thought i had already posted back.  anyways yes they are the shelby under ride style traction bars (bolted from the rear end and welded to the frame).  i also have sub-frame connectors welded on too.  i know the car needs a cage, but i never did take it to the track without sub-frames on it.  so i believe it all should be fairly straight  Huh

whats the problem with the shelby style traction bars anyways?  jw...

nothing really bad with them just can't believe your getting it to hook so hard with those bars. I'm running caltracs and my best 60 was a 1.6...

The track prep where you have been going is far superior than where I go Cry

the main reason i am cutting those 60 foots is the becuase of my trans brake and launch control/2 step (set at 3200 since i only have a 3700 stall).  i want to switch over to a TKO 5-speed around the beginning of next summer.  but before that i would like to put a 5000+ stall in it for a bit to really see the true potential of it.  you would by chance have one of those lying arond somewhere?

Nothin' laying around, but you can get one from redneck racing for a decent price. I have their brake and it has work flawlessly so far.
