can you quote me what both a single turbo kit would cost as well as a TT kit. its a 351w in a 66  mustang coupe. i realize this is fairly open ended but i know you could point me in the right direction as far as turbo size, what needs to be done to the bottom end etc.

thanks

The size depends on the HP you want to make and RPM range. But to be honest, I don't think I would touch that motor in a 65-66 with a ten foot pole. It's a pain to get them to fit with a 302. Making them go on backwards is much more difficult than going forward. You have more tubing that has to pass by a shock tower that is already too narrow. I think just the headers could cost 1700-2000 between the amount of time it would take, or all the slip fits and spaghetti tubing to make it fit. It would be a custom nightmare.  Cry

it is going to be a tight fit on my mustang with the raised exhaust port heads...i couldn't imagine trying to do that on a 65-66.  if you did, well your downpipe(s) would have to come out in front of you front tires.  like my friend hylers old camaro here

It'll work for sure. May not be able to make 1000hp, but you can still get yourself into trouble with the law. Tongue
Most of the back pressure you will see if cause at the turbine in combination with the size a/r housing.

hmm.. so if i flipped the stock manifolds around, do you think i could mount turboes where the battery is and the same place on the other side? and still keep it so i can have exhaust exit infront of the rear tires? what would you recomend for turbo sizes? i was thinking one smaller one to spin faster and one bigger one for more boost? would that work ok?

Yep, if you went twins you could do that. But not two different sizes like you are thinking. "lag" isn't really a problem now a days with turbos. That's a term supercharging companies use to try to keep you using blowers. When your ready I can can pick some out bases on what you want to do, RPM level and HP goals. I see 11psi at 3k on a transbrake right now, and 15 if I take the 2 step out and let it go to 3400. What is lag ? Grin

that's pretty much right. Have seen them go more than that, and one guy break it at about 675ish. Seems to be 650, and after that you roll the dice.
