Problem starting

I have a 65 289 mustang, I took off my original intake manifold to clean and paint it, nown that I put it back together my car dont want to turn over. Can you tell me what im doing wrong.

does it click when you turn the key or is it nothing what so ever? If its an automatic you could of pinched the wires to the neutral safety switch or damaged them when you did the intake.

Well it doesnt sound like a click it sounds like it would right before it actually starts, it just doesnt turn completly on. Ive checked the spark plugs/wires, I have also checked the timeing.
