Rich whats up its Rick again, so I got her going but now when Im driving her it almost sounds like there is to much air going into the carb. so I bought some new ones and it still sounds the same. I bought som carb cleaner and it doesnt seem to have a leak. Would you know what might be going on? TkS in advance

glad you got it going! sound like an vacuum leak some where. Maybe time to have us do some work on it Grin

Actually you are right, I just took off the valve covers and there is a whitish blackish murky looking like substance with water like steam on the bottom of the valve cover, but nothing on the actual valves or the springs. what do you think might have happen? Undecided

Sounds like you have milkshake. Oil and water are mixing in the engine somewhere. Maybe at the intake if you just changed it. May not have sealed real well.

After I switch out the gaskets what else should I do to clean out the water?

Change the oil before you run it, otherwise it'll ruin the bearings

One last question Rich, when I put on the new gaskets should I us the High tack gasket sealent all over the gasket or just on some spots of the gasket?

on the intake gasket...just around the water ports (very thin)
