Hey guys,
Well I should be coming home from Iraq soon and I have been looking at seats for my 68'. I remember you had some racing seats installed in your car and I was wondering how easy they went in. I dont want to have to drop my seat pans but I need better seats then what Ford put in 30+ years ago. I was looking at some basic aftermarket racing seats from different places. I was kinda thinking about using the old seat tracks with a piece of flat bar with holes for both the seats to the steel, and holes for the steel to the tracks. Not sure if this is something like what you did but I really think it would work. What do you think? I know it might be hard to visualize without some type of drawing but maybe it will work. I really look forward to coming out to the shop when I get home for some work on the car. I am just ready to get out of Iraq! Talk to you soon.
Semper Fi,
Kris

Yeah, used my old tracks and fit them up. As far as using other flat bar and bolting together... remember the seats is what keeps you in place with the lap belt when in an accident. I would most likely weld up the flat bar to the tracks before bolting them in place.
