I have a 66 convertible that needs a new tranny. I would like to ditch the c4 for an AOD. Will it fit? If not, what are my other options? My goal is to get lower RPM's on the freeway....ie better fuel mileage
thanks
Rick

Yep, it'll fit. It'll take a few readily available parts like a cross member, Tv cable, converter, flex plate, shorten drive shaft. takes a little work, but always a good swap. Doing another here at the shop. Either that or the T-5 manual will also fit.
