hey guys, was just wonderin i got everything on transmission wise and linkage to trans from shifter. The only thing is that when i shift thru gears it isnt holding. i can feel the gear changing from the transmission going thru but the actual shifter isnt holding in anything but Park. Kinda confused. You opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Jake.

Transmission wise is fine i beleive i havnt done anything with the tv pressure yet im not running it yet. im talking about the shifter its self not holding in place when put in any of the gears N R D 2 1 on the shifter itself in the car. The tranny is shifting fine. nice and sturdy.

Ohhh, sounds like it's not hitting the detents in the tranny. Only way to find out is drop the pan. Should have a rooster tail in there that will ride on a flat peice of plate with grooves. That's what holds the shifter from moving.

Ha yeah, got the beast started. But the AOD Low gear is chattering i was adding in fluid last night when i was runnin it to top it off but ran out. i hope to god i didnt f something up oi. plus the parking pall seems to not be working because the tranny dosent seem to be locking up when in park. So im thinking alignment issue since its opposite ends on the inner shift lever and a lil off wouldnt let it go in all the way or too far in? i dunno kinda mind blank just hope i didnt smoke my clutches or gear? im about a 1/2 qt low could be a little more, havnt moved it though because im getting wrong readings with my gauge when testing tv pressure..... just give me a gun now so i can cure the headache.
