I want to change the heads on my 68 302. I'll be running an Edelbrock performer intake with an Edelbrock 625 CFM carburetor. It makes sense to put Edelbrock Performer heads on the car but they're pretty costly. I've seen gt 40 heads on sale; will they work on my application?

gt-40p heads will work but there are some down falls. You'll need special headers because the spark plugs go out of the head straight instead of angled. You'll lose some compression because your stock heads are most likely 55-58cc and the new Gt-40p heads are 64cc. By the time your done your already spent more money then just getting the edelbrock heads.
let me know if you have any more questions.
Thanks
